Just 29 miles south west of Land’s End lies the sub-tropical island of Tresco, one of the Isles of Scilly. The Estate Office is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and 9am to 2pm on a Saturday. The contemporary accommodation enjoys an exclusive position and has been finished to the highest standard. Guests have access to all the club facilities including free use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, treatment rooms, fitness gym and outdoor tennis courts. Guests also have use of the bar, with its roaring log fire welcoming you on cooler days, and the restaurant in the clubhouse which is set in the centre of the development. Here you can enjoy a drink indoors or make the most of the stunning view and sunsets, relaxing outside on the boat shaped terrace; breakfast, lunch and evening meals are served throughout the day. Extras such as electricity, heating, shopping, and bicycle and pushchair hire can be charged to your account and settled upon departure. Babysitting can be arranged and free wireless broadband access is available at these properties. Although there are no washing machines in the cottages, daily service washes can be provided (at cost). Tresco is unbelievably beautiful, with a tremendous variety of wildlife, flora and fauna throughout the islands; especially endearing are the puffins and seals often spotted bobbing on the sea. The renowned tropical Abbey Gardens are a delight to explore and entrance is free for guests, as is golf at the Isles of Scilly Golf Club (clubs provided). Bicycles are the main means of transport (you will only see Estate vehicles on Tresco) and are available to hire nearby. The other Scilly islands are easily reached by boat, so plan a great day out exploring, such as a walk around Samson – you may be the only people there. Once you have finished investigating you can look forward to watching the ever-changing seas from the warmth of your cottage.
