The north coast is justly famous for gorgeous beaches and Perranporth, a great example of one of the best, is a few minutes’ drive from this lovely cottage. Primrose Cottage nestles in an incredibly tranquil, peaceful valley approached by a half-mile farm track (take care with low suspension vehicles as it is bumpy in places). This is truly part of God’s own acre, or actually 14 acres of privately owned meadows and woodland. The cottage has a private garden and the open plan ground floor has Delabole slate floors, a beamed ceiling and a welcoming open fire. In the cooler months the Rayburn runs the central heating (unavailable 1 May to 18 September) and provides an alternative form of cooking. The pine stairs lead up to the bedroom and bathroom. There is only Orchard Cottage (1890) next door and a caravan tucked away in the grounds, sometimes used by the Owners, but apart from an occasional rambler, there is little to disturb guests in this rural haven.
