Once the site of a medieval settlement dating back to the Iron Age, Chywoone is a haven of peace and tranquility set in the remotely beautiful moorland of the Lizard peninsula. In this delightful setting a detached longhouse of 12th Century origin and a restored 15th Century cottage now provide two comfortable, cosy retreats. Standing at the end of a short unmade farm track, near the Owner’s house with its landscaped grounds, they have a small open terrace each and share a lawned garden, beyond which there is an acre of old orchard where wildlife abounds. Close by, Coverack is an enchanting unspoilt fishing harbour, and nearby St Keverne has a butcher, baker, grocer and two pubs in the village centre. There is spectacular walking from your doorstep, and the coastal path is but a short distance away. These properties share a private water supply (tested regularly).

Swallows House is a charming, single-storey detached cottage. The sitting-room has a high beamed ceiling, a stone floor, bright rugs, an inglenook fireplace housing a wood-burner effect oil-fired stove, and views across the Owner’s lovely garden. Beyond the well-equipped kitchen/diner, with its pastel colour-washed hand-built cabinets, are the double bedroom and the bathroom.

Ground Floor Sitting-room with TV, video, CD and tape player and wood-burner effect oil-fired stove. Kitchen/Diner with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine/drier and dishwasher.
