Pear Tree Cottage, originally a tannery barn, is found in a residential backwater of busy Stratton village, nestling on the bank of the River Neet. Stratton is sited on one of the early ridge roads into Cornwall and is strategically placed to explore both the north Devon and north Cornwall coasts. Approached by a very narrow driveway off a busy road, once inside this detached, beamed cottage, many interesting collectors’ items greet you, providing a colourful, relaxed style. The dining-room has a slate-flagged floor, a large pine table and wooden stairs up to the four pretty bedrooms. The kitchen has views to the garden. The informal sitting-room is decorated in warm, traditional shades and has comfortable furnishings and a multi-burner. Light to the sitting-room comes from the attached garden-room. The attractive enclosed garden is framed by tall hedges and old brick walls.
