Once the staging inn for passing travellers, this spacious farmhouse, dating back to the 1700s, is now a comfortable family home. Set off the road from Lynton to the bustling seaside resort of Ilfracombe, with views from the enclosed garden over farmland to the sea in the distance, Butterfly Farmhouse is ideally located for exploring Exmoor National Park and the spectacular north Devon coast. The farmhouse retains many original features, such as beamed ceilings and a large farmhouse-style kitchen/dining-room which boasts a dual fuel double range cooker. There is an enormous dining-table where the entire family can sit down to enjoy a meal. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, two with water beds, and a mezzanine twin room in the attic, which is approached by a spiral staircase (please take care with toddlers and the elderly) and has wonderful views out to sea. Outside, the sun is always on some part of the gardens, either in the front or at the back where there is a covered barbecue-area. As well as a games-room with a free-play pool table and table-tennis table, there is also a paddock for children and pets to let off steam (please take care around the fenced wildlife pond in the far corner). A second cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
