Carndu is a perfect example of a 17th Century thatched cottage, on the end of a small terrace in the centre of the fishing village of Coverack overlooking the spectacular bay, with sea vistas from all principal rooms as well as from the enclosed pretty front garden. Said to have been a smugglers’ haunt in former days, the cottage retains all the charm and character of that age. The sea is echoed throughout the cottage by the use of a blue and white colour scheme. The comfortably furnished sitting-room has an open fire, whilst the spacious farmhouse kitchen/diner boasts hand-built pine cupboards, a fine dresser, a dining-table and, best of all, a comfortable window seat from which to enjoy the view. The Owner’s enviable collection of local paintings and ceramics complete a beautifully decorated home. There is a picturesque harbour and a sandy beach at low tide only a few steps down from the cottage, and the area is also renowned for its fine walking, rocky coves and magnificent coastline.
