The views from this detached granite barn conversion are breathtaking, across some of the most unspoilt countryside in the beautiful Roseland peninsula. Reached via a half-mile private road and a short track beyond the farmyard, a good degree of privacy is ensured, and guests are welcome to walk around the 300 acres of farmland (stock permitting). The Shepherd’s Cottage has a spacious open plan living-room, with comfortable sofas and a wood-burner effect gas stove at one end and a fully equipped kitchen/diner at the other. French windows open onto the enclosed front garden, which has steps down to a further lawn. At the side, an open terrace with built-in barbecue makes the most of the view. Three steps lead to the ground floor twin bedroom with bathroom next door, whilst the double bedroom upstairs has its own en suite shower-room. Glorious sandy beaches at Pendower and Carne are within three miles, and pretty St Mawes, with its pubs, restaurants, art galleries and ferry services, is slightly further away. The King Harry Ferry is nearby, a delightful way to cross the River Fal to explore the Cathedral City of Truro, the busy sailing town of Falmouth, or the north coast surfing beaches.
