Manor Farm Lodge, a Grade II Listed gatehouse built in 1877 from local Hamstone, retains many of its original Victorian features. Lying close to the road through the pretty, quintessentially English village of North Perrott – complete with pub, cricket ground and 15th Century church – it provides the perfect base for exploring this fascinating area around the Somerset/Dorset border. Set within a charming fully enclosed walled garden, this comfortably furnished cottage has two cosy wood-burners providing welcome warmth in any season. The sitting-room is a delightful place to relax, and the compact kitchen is exceedingly well-equipped. Upstairs, the double bedroom boasts a brass bed and the small twin room is ideal for children. Enthusiastic walkers will enjoy the local trails and bridleways; guests are also free to explore the Owners’ beautiful landscaped grounds and to use the hard surface tennis court, as are guests staying at The Pump House (2098) nearby. Free livery is available by arrangement with the Owner.
