The semi-detached cottage in the village of Cargreen on the River Tamar (see photograph), has been transformed into a contemporary, stylish home. The sitting-room and raised dining-area have redwood floors and exposed stone along two walls. Two steps lead to the modern kitchen, fitted with maple units and a range cooker. The stairs open into the bedroom which has oak flooring and the bed is positioned to give views over the rooftops to the river. The bathroom is a real treat, with a deep roll-top bath and a large shower – and for that extra luxury, there is a hot tub on the rear patio; quite private, with the raised garden above, this is the finishing touch to what is already a lovely cottage. If you can tear yourselves away, Polperro, Fowey, the Eden Project and other attractions are all within an easy drive. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
