These two stone-built, semi-detached barn conversions are beautifully decorated in muted, natural colours, with an enchanting mix of new and antique furniture. Terracotta tiling and wooden floorboards enhance the understated decor, giving the cottages an airy, New England feel. The Owner lives on site with his two friendly black Labradors, but the cottages retain their privacy, facing out over a four acre meadow which guests can use, overlooking an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The tranquil setting belies the fact that down the lane in Golant, the River Fowey is a hive of activity with yachts and dinghies bobbing on their moorings. The bustling sailing town of Fowey, birthplace of Daphne du Maurier, is nearby providing a fascinating blend of narrow streets, eclectic shops, restaurants, pubs and sandy beaches. Ferry links to Polruan give access to the south east coast, while to the west the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and the Roseland peninsula are waiting to be explored.

Old Winery Cottage has a spacious entrance hall leading to the sitting/dining-room with a wood-burner and the kitchen beyond. A ground floor cloakroom complements the shower-room upstairs, where painted floorboards brighten the bedrooms, and the low level windows have lockable decorative wrought iron grilles for safety. Again, there is a fenced garden to the front and a gate out to the shared parking-area and meadow. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
