This is south Devon at its rural best. Rolling hills, sandy beaches and wide estuaries flowing towards the sea. Dartmouth is renowned worldwide and Lower Norton Farm is just over a mile from this lovely town, full of restaurants, shops and art galleries. But this is not just a house for the shoppers, foodies or art lovers amongst you – there are many beaches within a short drive and country walks from the farmhouse itself. Approached by a challenging and very bumpy lane (take care with low suspension vehicles or heavily laden cars), set into the hill above a cluster of converted barns with stone steps down to the house, Lower Norton Farmhouse is well worth the effort. A well fitted kitchen boasts an oil-fired range as well as a range cooker and there are two large living-rooms, a playroom and a raised patio and lawn outside for those summer evening barbecues (take care with toddlers on the steps). Five bedrooms are on the first floor, each with its own shower-room or bathroom. For that extra wow factor, on the top floor is the second living-room with a wood-burner, leather sofas and a small pool table – there is also another bedroom and a shower-room on this floor. Perhaps up here Grandparents can enjoy some quiet time, or better still, start a family pool tournament to last the week. This great house is perfect for a memorable holiday. There is a private water supply, regularly tested. Please note the lower rent band does not apply for holidays beginning on or between 21 May to 9 September and is only applicable for parties of 8 + cot or less. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
