With stunning views over this thriving, unspoilt fishing village and the glistening sea beyond, this terraced former coastguard’s cottage is a delightfully peaceful home-from-home, the perfect base from which to venture out along the wonderful coastal paths or explore the Lizard peninsula’s sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and secret coves. Granite steps lead down into the little courtyard behind the cottage. A useful utility-room leads straight into the well-equipped, spacious kitchen which in turn leads to the dining-room, with French doors opening onto the garden where you can watch the activity on the beach below. The dining-room and the comfortably furnished sitting-room both have wonderful ocean views and cosy open fires. Upstairs, each pretty, generously-sized bedroom has a small ornamental Victorian fireplace, the two front rooms with glorious sea views. There is also a secret little lookout, where the coastguard may well have spent his watch in days gone by – you too are bound to spend many hours gazing in the same direction!
